Why these calculators
They show their work. Every tool explains the math behind the answer, so you can sanity-check a result before it goes into the oven. Food-safety numbers such as thawing times, roasting times and safe internal temperatures come from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service.
They give amounts you can measure. "0.375 cups" isn't much help at the counter. Where it makes sense, results come back in cups, tablespoons and teaspoons you actually own, or in grams if you bake with a scale.
They respect your privacy. Calculations happen on your device. Nothing you type is sent to us or stored anywhere.
A quick tip: weigh when you can
The single biggest improvement most home bakers can make is switching from cups to a kitchen scale. A "cup of flour" can weigh anywhere from about 120 to 150 grams depending on how it was scooped, which is the difference between a tender cake and a dry one. If you're converting a recipe, start with the cups to grams converter.
